Cebu Yearbook 2012: Knowing Cebu through Its Mountains

"Here comes the sun, do-do-do."

It started with a call from Kristin Lerin, the travel editor of Sunstar’s Live. She asked if I was willing to write about the mountains of Cebu for Sunstar Yearbook 2012. Of course, I giddily yes-sed.

No, I’m not an expert in mountain climbing. My climber friends are. They’ve been scaling these mountains long before I started. The six-page feature was too abrupt for the seven mountains. I missed out a lot of details and names. EWIT, who trailed with me for the entire weekends of May 2011, should have a page dedicated to them. Pero kay limited lagi, ari nalang ko magpasalamat! Te Myand! Sir Ice! Aye! and the rest of EWIT! Those I’ve climbed with, tagay! I still owe you guys a long feature here on BWAB.

See you on the trail!

Pwede na pang-Oscar? 😀

BWAB’s edition can be read here: Knowing Cebu through Its Mountains | Mt. Babag: The City’s Quiet |  Mt. Manunggal: The Historical | Mr. Bartolina: The Generous | Mt. Mauyog: The Less-Trodden Osmeña Peak: The Erratic | Mt. Lanaya: The Arrogant Mt. Kan-irag: The Gentle
