20 Affordable Hotels in Venice with Canal Views

st marks square is one of the many things you can do in venice in one day

Venice is the only Italian city I’ve been to so far, aside from the little coastal Trieste. So I cannot compare it to other popular Italian cities. It may not be my favorite European city, Vienna claimed that spot, but I have to give it to Venice for embracing age with grace. It is a beautiful old city, with its gondolas, gothic architecture, and its labyrinthine narrow alleyways that somehow always ends up on a canal. And that’s the thing with Venice and its canals. You can never think of Venice without its canals and gondolas. These images are very Venetian, and your Venice experience will never be complete without them. That said, I scoured the Internet for affordable Venice hotels with canal views. By affordable, nothing above $180. Bear in mind though these prices might fluctuate, depending on the season.

Quieter and more residential, providing a glimpse into everyday life in Venice. Generally more affordable accommodations compared to San Marco.
