Where to Stay in Trieste for First-time Visitors

one day in Trieste

I’m always partial for European destinations that have coastal lines. So when I learned that there is an Italian coast near Ljubljana, Slovenia, I did not really waste any time and booked a trip to this city. And I did not regret my decision at all. Trieste, may not have the architecture of other renowned Italian cities like Venice or Rome, but it has the charm of less renowned Italian cities: storied historical buildings without the crowd, long pleasant coastal promenade dotted with swimming holes and cafes perched on the edge of the water, and no locals cursing you to death for being a tourist in their city. Trieste was lovely that way, and if you’re wondering on where to stay in Trieste for first-time visitors like you, I curated the best neighborhoods and the best hotels in Trieste based on my visit and research. Hope it helps.
