The Southern State of Winter

What To do in the Southern State

The beauty of the southern states is not a secret to anyone. Florida, the Sunshine State, has captured the hearts of many travelers for its theme parks and beaches. North Carolina is the home of the best hike destinations, while Massachusetts is the home of many exciting casinos. The art scene in Baton Rouge, Louisiana is worth emulating for. While College Park’s historical downtown is worth the walk.

Wherever in the southern state you are going, adventure and surprises await.

West Palm Beach, Florida: Beachy Love

While most parts of the country growl about winter; here in West Palm Beach, Florida, travelers marvel at the closeness of summer. Be advised though that winter is a busy season for this side of the Sunshine State, so it is recommended to book your accommodation in advance. Pamper yourself with a stay at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham West Palm Beach, whose rooms have pillowtop beds and elegant toiletries. Or stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton West Palm Beach Central, which is just about five miles away from Atlantic Ocean.

Asheville, North Carolina: Warm up in Winter

Winter can be cold, but the good news is, you can always trek to warm your season up. Be it Bearwallow Mountain or John Rock, Asheville has some interesting mountains to climb. Looking for an affordable place to stay? Consider staying at Comfort Suites Biltmore Square Mall, a budget hotel at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, another trek destination.  Or why not check in at Grand Bohemian Asheville, Autograph Collection, which is just five minutes away from Biltmore Estate and the Cathedral Of All Souls.

Biloxi, Massachusetts:  From Beaching to Casino Hopping

Outdoor destinations, casinos, beaches, and live entertainment: it seems that Biloxi has everything you need to raise your winter’s temperature up. Try your luck in the casino and check in at The IP Casino Resort & Spa, whose rooms range from $144 to $164 a night. If you want to have more fun at your disposal, what you need is a staycation at Beau Rivage. This waterfront hotel offers a panoramic view of the city and the ocean view, that can make you feel lucky and marvelous.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana: Where Art is the Scene

Be it the living jazz and blues music scene, an architecturally delightful municipal dock, or the Shaw Centre for the Arts makes Baton Rouge a city of the art and the artistic. The city appeals to those who love anything creative. Indulge in a feast for the heart and soul. Stay at the tastefully namedRenaissance Baton Rouge Hotel, a luxury accommodation near LSU Rural Life Museum and Blue Bayou Waterpark. Or experience the classic southern hospitality at L’Auberge Casino Hotel Baton Rouge, which combines the traditional and the modern in its design.

College Park, Georgia: Where People Convene

Although College Park is primarily known for its Georgia International Convention Center, where national and international conferences happen, it has a storied and historical downtown that is worth checking out.
