Siargao Island has always been one of my favorite places not only in the Philippines but in the 20-something countries I’ve visited. Perhaps because at the very core, I consider myself an island girl, like many vagabonding locals who call this archipelagic country their home. Welcome to Siargao Island, where the waves are Pacific (in the tone of magnifique), the sun bright (it’s your holidays, everything has that holiday glow, duh), and the palm trees sway to the beat of island life.

Muni-muni means to contemplate in Cebuano. 😛 You will definitely enjoy your stay in this lovely new hotel in Siargao, with its clean and minimalist design, incredibly kind and helpful staff, and their yoga shala and offers. You will also appreciate the healthy breakfast they provide.

Although it’s a little far from the main part of town (a 10-minute scooter ride), renting a scooter is highly recommended. You will definitely want to stay here again! Muni Muni has everything you could possibly need for a hassle-free vacation, including toiletries and amenities.

The rooms and the entire resort are spotlessly clean. You won’t be able to find a fault with them! The staff are their gems, always willing to assist you with whatever you need. They are very, very helpful! This place comes highly recommended by friends as well, and it’s a very new resort!

Siargao Island Villas

Kalipay is a Bisaya word for happiness. 🙂 Kalipay Resort is located along Tourism Road, which makes it very accessible. It is within walking distance from restos.

What to love: the accommodation is spacious. The pool is clean. Good wifi. The area has a strong signal for Globe, one of the local sim providers in the Philippines, which is a must-have if you’re traveling long-term in the Philippines. Power might go out several times during your stay (not the resort’s problem; it’s an island thing; or corrupt government kind of thing, who knows), but you can still work since they have a generator.

This was a huge plus if you are a digital nomad. The staff is very accommodating as well. Overall you will have a great stay at Kalipay Resort. 

Nay Palad Hideaway

Romantic Beach Villas’ location is excellent. It’s central and close to great restaurants, stores, and even the local market, government, private clinics, and local police station (for processing necessary papers needed for travel and in case of emergency) are within walking distance. Front beach is perfect for a chill day, as it is very calm and suitable for kids who want to play. 

This beach resort in Siargao has 2 pools which are great when you intend to hang out all day and do nothing. These are very reasonable rates for a beachfront hotel with a pool. The room is clean and decent. Your stay comes with a complimentary breakfast, where selections are good, and the menu food selection is good, too, for the price. 

But the gem of the hotel that many guests love is the very accommodating staff, who will ensure that your stay will be the most comfortable within her capabilities. 

Tropical Temple Siargao Resort

The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful, the amenities wonderful, and the rooms are big and spacious with a stunning view! Staff would clean the up to 9 ft deep pool every morning; it has a waterfall. The staff would also sweep pathways every morning, so determined, diligent, hardworking, and always smiling!

You can literally throw a stone into the sea; the beach is that near. The in-house restaurant has a selection of Korean, Filipino, and Chinese cuisine. It is the perfect hideaway—or let’s say, retreat! Tehe! It’s a 10-minute tricycle ride to General Luna—the heart of the island.  

Daluyong

 It’s a beautiful resort, with a nice pool and slackline. They also have a paddleboard you can use for free at their private beach. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help.

It’s located in Cloud 9, but not far from General Luna, so you could easily bike to any location with ease. Some guests highly recommend this resort.

It might be currently closed for renovation as of writing. But Daluyong is one of the best resorts in Siargao. It is highly recommended.

Reef Beach Resort

Solo traveling and wondering where to stay in Siargao?

Their staff is very nice and they would offer free drinks every night before the start of daily games and activities. Their food is amazing also and their bed is surprisingly comfortable. It is also walking distance to Cloud 9.
