Local Midweek: Water Vendor on Taal Volcano’s Foot

Water Vendor | Taal Volcano, Batangas

Perhaps Brandi Carlile had this kind of face on mind while writing the first stanza of “The Story.”

All of these lines across my face / Tell you the story of who I am / So many stories of where I’ve been / And how I got to where I am

Those wrinkles, like small rivers trailing on her face, are storied. Laughter may have caused the line crawling  on her cheek. Or tears. Or time. Life.

oOo

Traveling is beyond touristy. Every Wednesday, BWAB shares the ordinary.  Local Midweek celebrates local color—the very smell, taste,  and face of the place.
