Mt Kan-irag Travel Guide and Itinerary

Budlaan Falls, Cebu City

Biggest Fall, Kabang Falls

Last Update: June 2019 Mt Kan-irag Travel Guide and Itinerary

I’ve received several inquiries on how to go to Kan-irag | Kabang
Budlaan | Kainsing Falls (I know right, even the locals have varied names for the waterfall.  The community before and after the main falls have different names for it.

Although I was initially reluctant in providing instructives, perhaps it is for the greater good. Or not. Because personally, my trips do not have itineraries at all. I could say that we did not really follow the itineraries below. But this guide might work for those who have not been to these places. Or better yet, approach a local community of mountain climbers to guide you.

For a reliable guide, contact Ariel Montuerto: 09224613128. (Linked up his Facebook)

Aye, as we call him, is funny (and loud)! And he spoils his guests to bets. I was spoiled, really spoiled. He is one of my trekking buddies back in Cebu.

Please don’t leave your trash. Follow the principle LEAVE NO TRACE to heart. During our recent trek, we ended up bringing down someone else’s trash. Be a responsible and an educated trekker.

This is an awesome trek 🙂 Like! Do you know someone that woud be a guide for a 2 day trek? And how much does it cost? My friends are planning for a trek this saturday and this is just they wanted.Thanks.

    • Hi there, Iad! In the photo, the younger/buff guy is the “muscle” behind our treks in Sirao Peak. His name is Ariel Montuerto. It is really against the principles of EWIT to get money from the guests. But Aye’s family, as we call him, is one of the victims of the recent fire that razed Mandaue. So, maybe it is appropriate to pay his guiding, P500.00 at the least. I can assure you though that he is the most responsible guide you can find out there. He is funny (and loud)! And he spoils his guests to bets.

Here is his number: +63 922 764 9935 Do let him know that you get his number from Jona.

  7. Harvey says:

For this time, is Aye still available for guide?

  8. Porsche says:

Hello, we’re planning to camp in Mt. Kan-irag this weekend.
Is it still allowed to camp there?
    Thank you
