Forget about what’s considered instagrammable. This place may not fit in the traditional sense, but it is a tradition in Singapore already. Chin Mee Chin has been a beloved breakfast institution for years. After a two-year hiatus, the old-school bakeshop is finally back in business and ready to welcome diners. The heritage business has been given a fresh lease of life thanks to pastry chef Maxine Ngooi from the Ebb and Flow Group, who is also responsible for the delicious treats at Tigerlily Patisserie located just a stone’s throw away.
Fans of the classic bakeshop will be pleased to find that the menu and interior remain largely unchanged. Even the original address has been preserved, and the menu boasts a delightful array of childhood favourites and timeless bakes. Stepping into the newly renovated Chin Mee Chin feels like taking a trip back in time – the old-world floor tiles, along with the familiar dining tables and chairs, are sure to evoke a sense of nostalgia.

Interesting cafes!!! I’m yet to visit Singapore and will be going there soon. So, thanks for this list.
Wow, I was in Singapore a couple of weeks ago and wish I had known about these when I was there! Now I can’t stop thinking about that Berry Ricotta Hotcake!! Maybe next time!
It’s nice to look art designer around something pretty good like the coffee!! I really like the first one coffee bar, unique and original! I tried the real coffee in the first major producers in the world (Brazil, Vietnam, Colombia), I have to say that I loved that one from Vietnam and I found a place like Wheeler’s Yard!! Thanks for sharing it
I would like to visit themall! I also love visiting cafes all over the world
These are downright gorgeous!! I’m certainly not surprised that Singapore would have such well-designed spaces, even if they’re cafes. I’d love to grab my morning cuppa in one of these!
I love cute coffee shops! I would like to go to the bicycle themed one as I am a fan of cycling. In my hometown, Bucharest, there used to be a bar themed with the bicycle in mind. All the chairs used to be saddles and the drinks would come in upside down bottles.
great post! I wish there were pictures for all the cafe’s and their exact location. Will be sending this to a friend who is currently traveling through singapore. Thanks
That’s an idea. Should include their addresses and photos. Thanks, Andrea!
So fun! Singapore is on our list of places we’d love to see, when we do I will definitely check out Wheeler’s. Wonderful pictures and information. Thank you for sharing!!
I too would like to see a photo of all the cafes. The ones you showcase are so fun and inviting. I think I need to redo my kitchen now!
How amazing is that hotel!!! Great post! x
Now I’m curious I’m going to have to look them up to see photos. I sometimes stop by a cafe while traveling, it’s a good place to see the locals.
I had no idea Singapore had such wonderful cute cafes! I especially like Wheeler’s Yard, it reminds me of a cycle cafe in London.
Why did I not know about these 3 years ago? Boufe Boutique Café looks right up my alley! I guess, I need to make another trip.
Ahhh, I do love finding little lesser known spots in Singapore. I return every other year and can you believe that i don’t know any of these cafes?! I know designer and “hipster” cafes/bars are popping up around the country and there’s so many to check out! I’ll definitely try to hit some of these places up when I’m back.
This looks like such a cute little cafe! Would love to visit 🙂
These look so awesome! I’ll definitely have to visit a few when I’m in Singapore next!
Great post! I’ve never been to Singapore and never knew they had such interesting cafes! Very unique! I’ve got to try some pancakes when I go! Nice work X
