Somewhere mid-2013, I embarked on a photography project I named “Images from the Bus Window.” Instead of randomly shooting subjects from the bus window, this project now comes with a theme. Let me start with the theme yellow. For Hannah Reyes, a very young and hot photographer I admired a lot. For hope. For light. For 2014 to be as yellow as hope. Because, there is no dark subject that yellow cannot brighten up. Aboard a public bus bound south.
It is a personal pilgrimage. To visit my muse, that is. Despite my countless visits, Kawasan’s vigor strikes me as exciting as the first time I set eyes on her. We were supposed to visit this place on New Year’s Day to lead off the year with rush, flow, exuberance. Yes, my personal superstitions. A foreign visitor sang “Find light in the beautiful sea, I choose to be happy,” […]

We enjoyed our stay at Sun Xi Mountain Resort—a sanctuary for those who want to have a break from the Internet and finish some works. 🙂 Like seriously. They recently opened a beach resort at Madridejos, Alegria, which is pretty near to Kawasan. We were lucky. They are running a 50% […]
